We are on the lookout for compelling documentary projects with international potential! Whether it’s a documentary series, short, feature-length, or an immersive documentary—if it relates to Chinese-speaking communities, we welcome your submission!

 

Now in its 16th year, CCDF continues to bring together talented documentary filmmakers and industry professionals, including international decision-makers, festival curators, distributors, and producers. If your project explores issues relevant to Chinese communities worldwide and has market potential, this is your chance to pitch it on a global stage.

In-Depth Discussions With Professional Instructors

Selected proposals undergo thorough discussions on scriptwriting, production, and distribution, improving their overall quality and potential for international co-production. Public pitching rehearsals help teams master effective presentation skills.

 

Enabling Chinese Documentaries To Align With The International Community

Selected participants engage with international networks, platforms, distributors, foundations and festivals in the pitching sessions and one-on-one meetings, to seek production resources and explore collaboration opportunities.

CNEX is actively seeking documentary projects that have a significant social impact to participate in the “INVESTING FOR GOOD @ CCDF” program.
 
Cross-Sector Collaborations And Strategic Alliances

Selected participants can present their projects to investors, philanthropists, businesses, foundations, NGOs, TV networks, and other representatives. They can seek financial support for their films and discuss cross-sector collaboration strategies for driving future social progress.

 

Creating Positive Social Change And Raising Awareness Of Important Issues

Ultimately, this can lead to changes in the attitudes and behaviors of the general public and organizations, and even influence policy-making.
