CNEX HK Social Impact Documentary Pitching Workshop

The CNEX Hong Kong Social Impact Documentary Pitching Workshop was held from 12th to 15th July, 2024, at Eaton Workshop Hong Kong. This is a four-day intensive workshop including Masterclass by our 3 experienced mentors, one-on-one section, and documentary film screenings and sharing.

The workshop started to call for entry from May, and received nearly 20 work-in-progress projects submissions. A total of 6 projects from Hong Kong and Mainland China had been selected, as shown on the table above.

From July to December 2024, CNEX will continue to stay in touch with the 6 project teams to help match resources for their production and Social Distribution distribution strategic planning.

2024 CCDF-15 & IFG-4 Program Highlights

The 15th CNEX Chinese Documentary Forum successfully concluded on September 29, with a grand award ceremony. After three days of pitching competitions, forums, and lectures, a total of 20 proposals competed for 19 awards. Taiwanese projects excelled at this year’s forum. The 15th edition of CNEX Chinese Documentary Forum (2024 CCDF-15) has announced the selected projects. This includes proposals submitted for IFG registration, a new record was set with the reception of 192 submissions.
